The Housing Specialist Relief worker will assist individuals with serious mental illness to maintain stable rental housing in the community. This is done by coordinating services, offering community-based treatment, assisting individuals in accessing community resources required to maintain stable housing and by assisting clients in developing household management skills.

What you will do: A typical week will usually consist of assisting individuals with developing a plan to increase their skills in household management, documenting direct services, inspections to ensure units meet standards and monitoring satisfaction of services.

• Pay Rate: $24/hour
• Schedule: Relief/Up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor degree required or equivalent work experience. 
• Experience: Two years of work experience in the human services field required. Experience with individuals who have experienced homelessness or serious mental illness is a plus!
• Safe Driving Record: Candidates must have a valid Virginia driver's license with a safe driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years).
• Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to undergo a background check and drug screen.
