Manager, Community Based Host Home

Are you looking for a management role where you can help sponsored residential contract employees to provide excellent support and quality of life to the individuals in their homes? Are you excited at the prospect of helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities become fully integrated into our community? BRBH is seeking a Host Home Manager to oversee providers of sponsored residential (host home) services.

Hiring Range: $28.63/hour-$35.79/hour

Similar to adult foster care, BRBH provides the opportunity for people experienced working with the DD population to open their homes to one to two individuals with disabilities as a permanent residence. Our providers work hard to offer a quality home environment and they depend upon the support and guidance of a caring manager. The Host Home Manager interviews and hires residential providers, offers oversight and training, and assists with the licensing process. The Manager makes regular visits (both scheduled in advance and surprise unannounced visits) to each provider to ensure they are following the Individualized Support Plan and providing approved residential support activities. The manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with agency, Office of Licensing, and Medicaid standards and regulations through site visits, supervision meetings, and review of documentation. The position requires an administrative and financial management capacity to meet state and federal requirements. This position requires availability for on-call responsibilities outside of agency business hours.

Requirements:

  • Education: Supervision of developmental disability services shall be provided by a person who holds at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field such as sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, or psychology. Experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • Experience: Supervision of developmental disability services shall be provided by a person with at least four (4) years of documented experience working directly with individuals who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability.
  • Safe Driving Record Required: This position requires transporting clients and driving agency vehicles. Driving record must have no criminal violations in the last five years and no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
  • Background Check: Candidates who are selected for a position must undergo a background check and drug screen.
