Part Time Child Minding Worker

Pay Rate: $16/hour. This position is Part Time status, working minimum 20 hours per week

Schedule: Day shift: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

Project LINK is now hiring for a part-time Child Minding Worker to monitor clients' children, so they can receive treatment!

Child Minding Workers are responsible for the well-being of the children under their care and they must monitor the children to ensure that they play and interact with one another in a safe and appropriate manner.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
  • Interacting with the children which may include crawling, bending, and stoop.
  • Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day
  • Preparing meals and snacks for the kids
  • Organizing activities and developing curriculum for children
  • Keeping records of each child's progress, interests and any problems that may occur
  • Maintaining contact with the children's mother and contacting them in the case of an emergency

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: One year of child care experience required.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid, training provided. We will provide a 10 hour training course for child care professionals through the Virginia Department of Education prior to working with children.
  • Background: Candidates will be requires to submit to a fingerprint criminal background check and drug screen.
