Consumer Affairs Coordinator

Great Schedule: The schedule for this position is 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with one hour lunch, Monday - Friday.

Pay Range: $54,144.86-$81,217.29/annually

The Consumer Affairs Coordinator provides consultation, education and advocacy regarding human rights, licensure standards and dispute resolution to clients, families and BRBH staff. This position conducts preliminary investigations to determine potential client abuse or neglect violations by agency staff.

Additional duties include:

  • Responsible for collecting and reporting required data elements to Human Rights Advocate, Licensing Specialist, and the Local Human Rights Committee.
  • Monitoring areas of non-compliance with Human Rights Licensing, Medicaid/Medicare regulations for appropriate corrective actions and analyze trends and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years' experience providing direct services to individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse. Two years leadership, management or supervisory experience.
  • Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to undergo a background check and drug screen.
  • Safe Driving Record: This position requires transporting clients and driving agency vehicles. Candidates must have a good driving record, which is defined as no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years.
