Residential Assistant, Crisis Receiving Center (Evening/Overnight)

Position Summary/Responsibilities
The Residential Assistant position will support the Crisis Receiving Center (CRC) and Crisis Intervention Team Assessment Center (CITAC) by monitoring and transporting clients in daily living environment to ensure compliance with treatment program requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring client behavior in the facility to included one-to-one supervision as directed by treatment team
- Making rounds
- Make crisis interventions as necessary such as notifying nursing and/or clinician/therapist staff of crisis and/or inappropriate client behavior
- Document client behaviors, unusual events, safety issues, and problems, as needed in staff log
- Orient new clients to program policies and procedures
- Completing tasks assigned by nurses and assisting nurses with answering telephones
- Regularly assist with transporting clients as needed to emergency medical facilities, home, et.
- Turn in bills for requisition
- Perform housing duties include sanitizing recliners, changing linens, washing linens, mopping floors, and emptying track, cleaning bathrooms,
- Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with agency policies and procedures
Hiring Range
The anticipated base salary for this position is $34,325.88 to $40,161.77. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations. We kindly ask that candidates do not discuss compensation until after an offer of employment is extended.
Requirements
- Education:?High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience working with mentally ill and/or chemically dependent population preferred.
- Background Check:?Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.
- Safe Driving Record:?This position requires transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. Candidates must have a good driving record, which is defined as no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years.
Special Work Conditions
This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and partners, both verbally and in writing. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for portions of the workday, move throughout office or community settings, and operate a computer and standard office equipment. The position may occasionally require lifting or transporting materials or supplies up to 50 pounds. This role may require participation in trauma-informed physical practices, such as standing, positioning, and de-escalation techniques, when such activities are essential to the position. These functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
