Position Summary/Responsibilities

This position assists the program in the day-to-day management, ensuring day and night staffing coverage of the program. Participates in development of program services, and in monitoring of service quality and facility needs. Monitors compliance to ensure the program is meeting productivity, budget, utilization, accreditation, and licensure requirements. Provides leadership to ensure services are coordinated with other service components within the agency and the community. Provides direct services to individuals and families as needed to meet the program's goals.

Director ensures 24/7 on call support for supervision, emergencies, and consultation purposes. May cover shifts when therapist is not available. Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining positive relationships between the 23-Hour Crisis Stabilization program and other BRBH programs such as Emergency Services, Same Day Access, CIT Assessment Center (CITAC), Marcus Alert Co-Response, and Residential Crisis Stabilization Unit. May also share leadership oversight and coverage of services within the crisis continuum.

Hiring Range:

The anticipated base salary for this position is $76,390.81-$95,488.52. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations. We kindly ask that candidates do not discuss compensation until after an offer of employment is extended.

Requirements

  • Education: This position requires a Master's Degree in a human services field that fulfills the criteria for eligibility for professional licensure as a professional counselor or clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years clinical experience which includes two (2) years attainment of licensure. One year (1) experience demonstrating excellence in management and leadership preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Licensed in the State of Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist, and be a State Certified Pre-screener (or obtain within six-months of hire).
  • Background Check: Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.
  • Safe Driving Record: This position requires transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. Candidates must have a good driving record, which is defined as no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years.

Special Work Conditions

This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and partners, both verbally and in writing. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for portions of the workday, move throughout office or community settings, and operate a computer and standard office equipment. The position may occasionally require lifting or transporting materials or supplies up to 10 pounds. This role may require participation in trauma-informed physical practices, such as standing, positioning, and de-escalation techniques, when such activities are essential to the position. These functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
