Position Summary/Responsibilities
The Access Specialist provides excellent customer service as the first line of communication between BRBH clients and agency service providers. They also screen and register new clients, update existing client demographics by collecting required client personal and financial information, facilitate client flow from front door to service provision, generate insurance reporting and verify client eligibility, and collect and post client fees.
Hiring Range:
The anticipated base salary for this position is $35,817.30 to $38,914.90. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations. We kindly ask that candidates do not discuss compensation until after an offer of employment is extended.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree in business-related coursework preferred.
- Experience: One (1) year experience working with diverse client population including individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, and/or substance abuse programs preferred.
- Background Check: Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.
Special Work Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will often sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above their head. Use of hands for placing and pulling objects. The employee may lift and or carries up to 10 pounds and pushes or pulls up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (computer). Specific hearing required by this job includes normal tones. These functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
