The Navigator is integral to ensuring excellent customer service and smooth coordination of care from the front door to the clinical team. Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare provides services to individuals who have mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.
Day-To-Day
Throughout the day, the Navigator's focus is to create a warm and knowledgeable connection for clients to BRBH's clinical services. The Navigator ensures that every client who walks in the front door is greeted, checked-in, and directed to their next step. The Navigator oversees pre-appointment activities to ensure the client is ready when clinical staff are available, so that clients do not experience long wait times. The Navigator also monitors the waiting area to address needs of clients waiting.

Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare (BRBH) is one of forty Community Services Boards established under the Code of Virginia to provide comprehensive services for individuals who have mental health disorders, developmental disability, or substance use disorders. We are charged also with continuously monitoring and evaluating our services to ensure their cost effectiveness and applicability to current citizen needs.
