Clinician, Assertive Community Treatment

Do you have a bachelor's degree in a human services field who enjoy working in a positive team environment?

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team Clinician provides home and community-based services to adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness who are at high risk for repeated hospitalization, incarceration, and homelessness. ACT is an evidence-based model that has been used for over 40 years to help individuals to live stable, successful lives.

Must enjoy working with a team! This position requires frequent local travel utilizing agency vehicles, as 75% of services are provided in the community.

Starting Pay: $20.08/hour. Additional compensation commensurate upon experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree that meets requirements to register for QMHP.
  • Experience: One year experience working in a human services field preferred.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Must meet requirements to register with the Virginia board of counseling as a QMHP-Trainee. Qualified Mental Health Professional Adult (QMHP-A) registration preferred.
  • Safe Driving Record: Safe driving record required (no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal violations in the last five years).
  • Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to undergo a background check and drug screen.
