Do you enjoy taking initiative, problem solving, and making processes more efficient? Do you have a background in medical billing? The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is currently allowed a hybrid schedule once completely trained. Will rotate working remote vs. in office.

Hiring Range: $19.75/hour-$22/hour

The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring efficient billing processes that will lead to a faster reimbursement turnaround for billing and collection activities for all agency billable services to Medicare, Medicaid, MCO's, CCC Plus Plans, commercial insurance, HMO's and other third party pay sources.

Duties Include:

• Download all services from the EHR billing system
• Manually process claims as necessary
• Review each claim for accuracy and ensure the correct ICD10 coding (diagnosis code) and authorization match the billed service prior to submission to reduce rejections
• Research claim denials through correspondence and research of denied Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to validate the denial reason or correct the issue
• Contacting insurance carriers to determine specific steps to get claims paid

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in healthcare. Reimbursement experience is a plus!
• Education: Associate's degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of 2 years of college in a related field or related work experience in behavioral healthcare.
• Background Check: Candidates who are offered a position are required to undergo a background check and drug screen.
